EXIT TO EDEN Peculiar,
quirky score is fun for a while
A fairly pleasant little score by Patrick Doyle for a film which looks - well, interesting, shall we say, from the pictures on the CD! (The IMDB describes it as being "comedy / bondage / sex", making it a surefire success in my household!) The music is nothing particularly memorable, but it's all well-composed, and usually interesting enough to warrant repeated listening. There are a couple of great cues ("The Arrival" springs immediately to mind) in a score that's composed mainly of what I would describe as Latin jazz (though I'm not sure whether technically that's correct or not!) I can't think of any other score that comes even close to sounding like this, so it's impossible for me to bring up a direct comparison for you, so I won't even bother trying. A wicked departure from Doyle's usual style, this is one I'd recommend you picking up if you see it for a decent price (like I did), but don't pay over-the-odds for it. Tracks
